This is a historical record of Echo v0.1, documented in June 2025. For the Gem5-based platform, use the ACE-Echo 1.0 guide.
What the early release introduced
The original release combined task development, communication-oriented libraries, a hardware-oriented software model and early 5G cell-search experiments. It established the development workflow from which ACE-Echo evolved.
Its original feature descriptions refer to that release’s source and examples. They are not the current 1.0 support matrix or a blanket 3GPP qualification claim. The original release notes remain available in source history.
What changed
ACE-Echo 1.0 uses Gem5 for Venus application development and approximate cycle-level performance evaluation. Its initial Agent-assisted framework supports developer-guided work.
The old v0.5 and v1.0 beta forecasts have been superseded. See the current roadmap for the 1.0 scope and the 2.0 intent-driven development direction.
